Huh. This thing still works. I thought I'd deleted it. Sort of glad it didn't delete though.
Now if I could only remember if it's public or not. Guess it's time to go exploring. :-)

Best Laid Plans ...
My sister's Fire came today and she called me all excited. She opened it while she was on the phone, lol. It came half charged and so she was more than ready to explore.
It was written in Japanese. O.o
I say again, it was written in Japanese.
*Sigh*
She spent an hour with various Amazon customer reps but no one knew what was going on. She'll call again Monday and get a replacement promise out of them - her phone ran out of juice, lol.
Well, Moey, Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas.
*Sigh* again.

Holiday Treat
I just bought my sister Maureen the new Kindle HDH Fire for a birthday/Christmas present.
It's the smallest of the new Fires, but with the special offers option it's only $139.00 with free shipping if you are a Prime member (which I am ). I'm also putting her on my account so that she can have access to more books than she has now.
My sister is on a very limited budget and she spends a lot on her animals who always seem to be sick. She doesn't have cable or telephone service, so this will be her only entertainment.
I suppose I'm doing it as much for me as for her. I love helping people I love. It makes me feel good and useful and that I have a purpose in this world of retirement and elderly aches and pains. I like to make people happy and since I can't sing anymore this is the next best way, lol.
The time may come when I need help in some way or another. I know my loved ones will be there. (altho it'll be quite a trip for Lori. ;-) )

I Need A Title
Story is about a northerner with major powers just awakening (ice), drawn to the Archmage of all mages and together and with others, they will devise a plan to overthrow and erase a particular evil from existence and free the people of that tiny country. And he falls in love, of course.
This is the cover I bought, but I lack a title. I also lack most of a plot, ha. I need me a Lori. There's a lot of 'what ifs' out there.

How about 'The Iceman Cometh'? I think that one's taken though.

One Fucked Up Photoshop
I've been meaning to make this post for awhile but never got around to it. Then I came across this cover again and it hit me the same way. Everything in this cover is wrong.
The first thing that struck me was the woman's torso. Does it seem abnormally long to you?
Then, there's the gentleman's neck/shoulder. He's deformed! No wonder he's cradling his arm against his belly.
Both figures are all out of proportion; the more I look, the more I find. You'd think a New York publisher (Random House) would do better.
Some might shy away from a cover like this, which would be a shame. They would miss some great writing 'cause Ruthie Knox can tell a story.
